Ask a scorer to put their match on your club page

On your club page, tap Add a match, choose Someone else did and enter the six-character match code from the end of its link. The scorer sees the ask on their scoring page, and the result joins your club page only if they tap Yes.

Why you ask

A club is given a match, never takes one

Somebody outside your club scored a match your team played: the opposition's scorer, a parent, a friend at the ground. Only they can put it on a club page, because only their phone holds the scoring password. So your club asks, and they decide.

From the club page

Send the ask

  1. Add a match

On your club page, tap Add a match and choose Someone else did.

  2. Enter the match code

The code is the six characters at the end of the match link. Tap Find it.

  3. Say which side was yours

Pick your team from the two sides, so the result is counted from your side.

  4. Wait for the scorer

The ask waits on the Settings tab of the scorer's own scoring page, which shows a count while it waits. If they tap Yes, the result joins your club page for good.

Why it works this way

Why no search for matches? A list of other people's matches to ask about would be a list anybody could scrape. The match code is something only a person who was sent the link has.

Derbies

Both clubs can have it

A match between two clubs on the site can be on both pages, each counting it from its own side. Taking it off your page removes it from your page and never deletes the match.
