Match memories: team photos, before and after, match day

Open the scorer's Memories tab and tap Add memory: a team photo, a before and after with a line viewers drag across, or match day photos. They appear on the match page beside the score, and they are part of Pro for a club or a match pass for one match.

What you can add

Three kinds of memory

A match page shows the score. Memories put the day beside it, in one of three shapes:

  • A team photo. One squad, before or after the game.
  • A before and after. Two photos with a line viewers drag across. It does not have to be a squad: the ground before and after the rain, or one player at kickoff and at the final whistle, work just as well.
  • Match day. One photo from the game: a goal, a catch, the handshake at the end.

Add as many of each kind as your plan allows for the match. A before and after counts as one memory, and each memory can carry one short caption. Memories are part of Pro for a club, or a match pass for one match.

From the scorer's phone

Add a memory

  1. Open the Memories tab

On the scoring page, open Memories. Memories are added at a calm moment and never from the scoring buttons.

  2. Pick the kind

Tap Add memory, choose the kind, and choose a team when the memory is about one. If it is a photo of one goal or wicket, pick it under Which moment?: the photo then also sits under that moment on the match page, and tapping it opens the memory right there, slider and caption included.

  3. Choose the photo

Tap Choose a photo. It is cropped to the memory's standard shape, and you see the crop before it uploads.

  4. Add a caption if you like

One line about what the memory is of. Leave it empty and nothing is missing.

Already added a team photo and want the matching one from full time? Open that memory and make it a before and after: say whether the photo you have was taken before or after the match, and add the other half. It stays one memory.

Looking after people

What happens to every photo. It is re-encoded before anybody can see it, which removes the location a phone stores inside a picture. Photos of a junior team are kept out of search engines, and no child's name is ever written into a photo's description. Removing a photo is always possible, whatever the club's plan.

The touchline link

More photos than one phone

The scorer is busy scoring, so the best photos are usually on somebody else's phone. The touchline link lets parents and friends at the ground send theirs, and you choose which go on the match. Each photo you approve becomes a memory of its own, and a before and after pair becomes one memory.

Need to know

Questions people ask

About match memories.

What kinds of memory are there?

Three. A team photo, a before and after that viewers compare by dragging a line, and match day photos. Each can carry one short caption.

Does a before and after have to be the squad?

No. It can be the ground before and after the rain, one player at kickoff and at the final whistle, or the trophy table being set up.

Why is my photo cropped?

Every memory has a standard shape, so the page and a shared picture stay tidy. You see the crop before you upload.

What about junior teams?

Photos of a junior team are kept out of search engines, and no child’s name is ever put in a photo’s description.

Can a photo be removed?

Yes, always, whatever the club’s plan.
