How to live stream a local match from your phone
Stream from the phone with the YouTube, Facebook or Twitch app, and score on a second phone so the stream never stops for a tap. For the scoreboard on screen, add the overlay link as a web or browser source in a streaming app that has one, or send the phone’s camera to OBS on a laptop.

What you need
Streaming drains a battery in about an hour, and the YouTube phone app only goes live from a channel with at least 50 subscribers.
Go live
Create the match
Create the match on the scoring phone and send the live link to the group, so people without the stream can still follow the score.
Start the stream
Go live from the streaming phone in the YouTube, Facebook or Twitch app. For the title and description, tap Stream title and description on the scoring page's Stream tab and copy both: the description links to the match page.
Score as usual
Every goal or ball you record updates the live page within a moment.
Link the stream on the match page
At a calm moment, paste the stream's link under Stream links on the Stream tab. The match page then plays the stream for anybody following the score, and after a YouTube stream you can line it up so every goal opens in the recording.
Put the score on screen
The overlay is a web page that shows the live score with a transparent background, updating as you score. To put it on the stream, use a streaming tool that can show a web page on top of the camera: some phone streaming apps can, and OBS on a laptop always can, with the phone sent to it as a camera. The OBS guide shows the setup step by step.
The overlay is part of Pro for a club, or a match pass for one match. The match link your viewers follow stays free either way.
Questions people ask
About stream from your phone.
Can I stream and score on the same phone?
It is better not to. Scoring means switching apps, and a stream that pauses every goal is hard to watch. A second phone scores and the stream picks the score up.
How much data does it use?
One to two gigabytes an hour at 720p, more at 1080p. Check the signal at the ground before kickoff, and plug the phone in.
How does the score get onto the stream?
The overlay is a web page that updates as you score. Any streaming tool that can show a web page on top of the camera can show it.
Is the overlay free?
The overlay is part of Pro, for a club or with a match pass on one match. The live match link your viewers follow is free either way.
