Running games on several pitches at once

In a league, games on different pitches run at the same time, each with its own scorer and its own live page, and every result feeds the same table. The one rule is that a team can only be in one game at once, so a team still playing is never put into another.

In short

  1. Create the leagueAdd every team. Each fixture is a game waiting to start.
  2. Start a game per pitchTap Start match on each game that can run now, one for every pitch.
  3. One game per teamA team still playing cannot start another. The tap says which game it is still in.
  4. Give every pitch a scorerSend each pitch its scoring link and password, so somebody there scores from their own phone.
  5. Watch one tableEvery result lands in the same table as its game finishes.
  6. Label pitches for a streamOn the Stream tab, label the pitch each game is on, and its overlay follows the game there.
Several pitches

Games side by side

In a league, games do not have to wait for each other. With two pitches, two games run at once, each with its own scorer and its own live page, and both results land in the same table.

Run the day

  1. Create the league

Add every team. The fixtures are there, each one a game waiting to start.

  2. Start a game on each pitch

Tap Start match on each game that can run now. A team still in an unfinished game cannot start another: the tap says which game it is still playing, and the game can start once that one finishes.

  3. Hand each pitch its scorer

Send each pitch its match's scoring link and password, so somebody at every pitch scores from their own phone.

  4. Watch the table

Results land in the standings as each game finishes.

Tip

Streaming the day? On the series' Stream tab, tap Playing on more than one pitch? and label the pitch each game is on. A pitch can then have its own stream link and its own overlay, which follows whichever game is under way there.

Ideally. Send each pitch its match’s scoring link and password, and they score from their own phone.

Can a team be in two games at once?

No. A team in an unfinished game cannot start another: the tap says which game it is still playing.

Does the order of games matter?

In a league, no: games run in whatever order the pitches allow.
