Let someone else score: the scoring link and password
Open the Settings tab, share the scoring link with your next scorer and send the password in a separate message. They open the link, type the password and carry on from their own phone, while everyone watching keeps the viewer link they already have.

Pass it on
Open the Settings tab
On the scoring page, open Settings. The Scoring password card holds the password and a way to share the Scoring link.
Send the scoring link
Share it straight to the person taking over, not to the group. It opens the scoring page, which asks for the password.
Send the password separately
A second message, or tell them at the ground. Whoever holds both can score, so neither one on its own should be enough.
They carry on
They type the password once and score from their own phone. There is still one match, so every goal or ball so far is there, and viewers see no change at all.
Two links, two audiences
A match has a viewer link and a scoring link. The viewer link is the one you send to the group: it is read-only, so forwarding it never gives anybody control. The scoring link is for whoever is scoring, and it is only ever sent on purpose.
- Your match to Viewer link
- Your match to Scoring link + password
- Viewer link to The whole group watches, read-only
- Scoring link + password to One person scores, sent separately
Why it works this way
Why not just share the password in the group? Because the group chat is exactly where a viewer link gets forwarded to people you have never met. Keeping the password out of it is what keeps the score honest.
Two people can hold the password at once. Scoring on one phone at a time keeps things simple: agree who has it for the second half.
Questions people ask
About hand over the scoring.
Why send them separately?
Whoever holds both can score. Sent as one message, a single forward would hand the match to anybody in the chat it lands in.
Is the scoring link the same as the one the group has?
No. The group has the viewer link, which is read-only. The scoring link opens the scoring page, and it asks for the password.
Does the score carry on where I left it?
Yes. There is one match, so the new scorer sees every goal or ball so far and carries on from there.
Where do I find the password?
On the Settings tab of the scoring page, under Scoring password. You chose it, or accepted the suggested one, when you created the match.
