The touchline link: let parents send photos, and you publish them

On the scorer's Memories tab, tap Get a photo link and send it to the parents and friends at the ground. What they send waits on your Memories tab, and nothing is shown on the match until you add it.

Why it works this way

Parents send, the scorer publishes

The best photos of a match are on the phones of the people standing on the touchline, not the scorer's. The touchline link lets them send those photos to the match without an account, and it keeps one rule: sending is not publishing. Nothing a parent sends is shown to anybody until the scorer adds it.

Photos are part of match memories: Pro for a club, or a match pass for one match. The photo link is opened by the scorer, on a match their club has Pro for or that a pass covers.

Collect photos from the ground

  1. Get a photo link

On the scoring page, open Memories and tap Get a photo link.

  2. Send it to the people at the ground

Send it to the parents and friends who are watching, not to the whole group. It is a different link from the match link, because this one can send photos.

  3. They send their photos

They open it, tap Agree and add photos and choose their pictures. Each one waits for you.

  4. Add what you want on the match

Each waiting photo is listed on the Memories tab. Tap Add for the ones you want, and the cross beside a photo to decline it.

Why it works this way

Why can a parent not publish? A match link goes to a whole group of spectators, and photos often show children. One person who decides is what keeps a match page something a club is happy to share.

Close it

After the match

Close the photo link when the day is done. Reopening it later brings the same link back, so the message already in the chat works again.

Every photo is re-encoded before anybody can see it, which removes the location and other details a phone stores inside a picture. The parent's name is never shown beside their photo.

Need to know

Questions people ask

About touchline photo link.

Do parents need an account?

No. They open the link, agree to the club’s photo statement and choose their photos. Nothing else is asked.

Can a parent publish a photo?

No. Everything they send waits for the scorer, who adds it or leaves it. Sending is not publishing.

Is this the same as the match link?

No. The match link is read-only and goes to the whole group. The photo link can send photos, so send it to the people at the ground and close it when the day is done.

Is the photo’s location kept?

No. Every photo is re-encoded before anybody can see it, which removes the location and other details a phone stores inside a photo.
